Save the Date!
The Salvation Army PROMISE program will provide a full day of CSEC/Human Trafficking training at Dominican University, Priory Campus on Friday October 10. 2008. [Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children] The training curriculum that will be presented at this seminar was developed by CCIP, a team of experts from around the country. We are bringing in keynote speakers from London based STOPTHETRAFFIK International, and from the Department of Defense.
5 hours of free CEU credits will be issued complements of Dominican University, Graduate School of Social Work.

PROMISE Welcomes First Intern
PROMISE is pleased to announce the that an intern from Northeastern University will be joining our team in August 2008. She will be providing 20 hours of service a week to both the subcommittees and the overall PROMISE task force. We are excited to have her on board to assist us with initiatives to combat CSEC!

CSEC Curriculum for Schools
The PROMISE Prevention Subcommittee is currently developing a curriculum about the commercial sexual exploitation of children. Through the assistance of Chicago Communities in Schools, the curriculum will be piloted at local schools.
